St. Francis’ Safe Haven joined Spotted Dog Rescue at Bizzyland in Crestline, CA, for an adoption fair and bingo fundraiser. While the day was chilly, the event was well-attended, thanks to the generosity of Bizzyland, who hosted the event. Attendees enjoyed petting the many dogs and cats available for adoption while rescue partners had the opportunity to connect with one another and share resources. Best of all, several dogs and cats were adopted into loving families! St. Francis’ Safe Haven’s rescue kittens Tiggy, Bucky, and Patches were all adopted. Tiggy and Bucky were adopted by the same family, which means they will be able to stay together as they continue to grow and bond with their new family members. Patches was chosen by a little girl and her parents, who recently lost their cat and so had room in their hearts and lives for a new little kitten. We conducted home visits immediately after the adoption event and all three kittens were transferred to their new families by the end of the day.
